The bassoonist David Schneebeli, born in Zurich in 1961, where he studied music and bassoon with Manfred Sax.
After continueing his studies in Hannover with Klaus Thunemann, he was appointed Solo bassoon in 1985 with the Radio-Sinfonieorchester Basel. Since the fusion of Basler Orchestras in 1997, he became the solo bassoon of the new Sinfonieorchester Basel. He also works regularly as principal bassoon in the Zürcher Kammerorchester.
